William D. Stone

Barnstable-William D. Stone, 89, of Forestdale formerly of West Wareham, passed away at Cape Cod Hospital on Saturday May 31, 2020 after a long illness.  He was the husband of the late Yvonne S. (Ciampa) Stone.  Mr. Stone was born in Boston the son of the late Chester L. and Dorothy (McDonald) Stone.

Mr. Stone was an U.S. Air Force, Korean War, veteran.  He was self-employed as a carpenter for many years. He was the Massachusetts South Eastern Director of Kiwanis International.  Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time.  He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was survived by his children: David Stone of Florida and Carolann Ahonen and her husband Bob of Forestdale. He was the brother of Chester Stone of Ill, Ginger Contresas of New Mexico and the late Charles E.
