Stephen J. Sowa

Wareham-Stephen J. Sowa, 73, of West Wareham, passed away at  Tobey Hospital on Saturday April 11, 2020.  Stephen was the husband of Ellen L. (Faraday) Sowa also of West Wareham.  He was born in New Bedford the son of the late Joseph and Veronica (Gryss) Sowa.

Stephen enjoyed his social gatherings with family and friends.  Fishing and golfing filled his spare time.  A Vietnam War veteran Stephen served in the U.S. Army.

Steve had an honest interest in the younger family members. He would ask them questions about what they were doing and what they thought about their future. He did this with open ears but without judgement. As his nephew said: He was a great guy who I always enjoyed talking to because he always listened and that's a quality I respect a lot. He was always good for a laugh.
