William E. Ellis, III

Mattapoisett – William E. Ellis, III “Bill”, 82, passed away at home after a brief illness.  Husband of the late Karen E. (White) Ellis.  Born in Wareham the son of the late William E. and Neva E. (Thurston) Ellis, Jr.

Bill attended Wareham Public Schools and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.  A Firefighter for the Onset Fire Dept. and a former Harbor Master for the Town of Wareham.  He was an avid New England sports fan.

He was the father of William T. Ellis, Wanda Ellis and Jeffrey Ellis all of E. Wareham and Thomas Ellis of TX. Step father of David Urquhart, Grandfather of 12 and Great Grandfather of 13 also   survived by many loving relatives and friends. Stepfather of  the late Jennifer Hurd, Preston Urquhart and grandfather of the late Jeff Carbone.
