Virginia M. (Doherty) Keenan

Wareham-Virginia M. “Ginny” Keenan, 88, of West Wareham and New Mexico passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at home in W. Wareham. Loving domestic partner and companion of Charles I. Askren also of W. Wareham and New Mexico.  She was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Healy) Doherty.

Ginny had a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Realtor license.  She worked as a Counselor, Realtor and Seamstress.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, catering, sewing, crafting jewelry, square dancing, watching movies and the Boston Red Sox.

She was the loving mother of Deborah Foley and her husband, Michael of New Mexico, Francis Keenan and wife Robin of Bridgewater, Christine Keenan and Brian Kenny of Holbrook and the late William Keenan. A Beloved mother in-law, grand and great grandmother, sister, sister in-law, aunt, cousin, friend, and guardian to her rescue fur baby “Chickie.”
