Suzanne Marie (Callow) Douglass, 87, of Wareham, Massachusetts, passed away on June 11, 2023, in the presence of her loving husband of 68 years. Suzanne (Sue) was born December 3, 1935, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late John and Esther Callow.
Sue graduated from Milton High School and went on to marry her high school sweetheart Robert Douglass on May 28, 1955, in Milton, Massachusetts. She soon traveled with him to France to be with him during his enlistment in the U.S. Army. She went on to raise her family of four sons with her husband in Milton, Harvard and Still River, MA.
Sue was a voracious reader, especially of history, and loved travel and her many pets over the years. Her time living in France was among her fondest memories. Sue also enjoyed many trips to Bermuda, the Bahamas, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium, St. Thomas, Hawaii, and Jamaica, often traveling with close friends.
Remaining to cherish Sue’s memory are her husband of 68 years, Robert (Doug), her children Christopher (Linda), Gerald, Alan (Nancy), and Andrew (Michelle); grandchildren, Matthew (Valarie), Jessica, Patrick, Luke (Olive), Jack, and Brian; great-grandchildren Lola, Kaden, Anais, Rachel and Elizabeth; brothers, John (Carol), Richard (Martha), William; and sister, Sheila (Edward); and many nieces and nephews.
Sue’s family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at All American Assisted Living in Wareham, Compassionate Care Hospice, and Care with Love for all that they did for Sue.
