Susan Ewing May 10, 1942 – January 22, 2023.

Susan Frances Ewing (Carter) was born in Wenatchee WA on May 10, 1942, to Roy Carter and Ruth Carter (Hughes).  She graduated from Wenatchee High School.

After High School, Susan married Richard Williams and ultimately moved to Seattle WA after moving around Washington State.

In 1973, Susan moved to Leavenworth WA and was employed by the Leavenworth School District as a Secretary for several years.  Her daily interaction with the kids always made her day.  She was always thrilled when her kids stayed in touch with her.  Mom later moved to Port Orchard WA where she was very involved in the Bremerton Elks Lodge with her husband Charles Ewing (deceased). She thrived by doing for others.  Prior to moving to MA in May 2021, mom lived in the Cascade Mountains, near Index WA, and spent many years with her quilting friends, her craft friends, and her neighbors whom she considered family.

Susan was Mom to 4 children:  Cami Voss (Carter) and son-in-law Ron Voss of Cashmere WA, Kelley Rose (Williams; deceased) and son-in-law Matthew Rose of Wenatchee WA, Brent Williams and-daughter-in-law Kimberley Williams of North Bend WA, and Shannon Keady (Williams) and son-in-law John Keady of Massachusetts MA.  She was also a sister, a sister-in-law, an auntie, a daughter, a niece, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a friend.  Mom’s greatest pride was her family.   Once you were invited into her world, you were part of her family.

This is a very sad time for those of us left behind, but we know Mom is dancing with all her loved ones in Heaven.  Mom, no doubt, is sharing her Fireball whiskey with everyone and telling wild stories about her life.  Mom’s life, to say the least, was FULL and the world will not be the same without her physically here.

East Coast services will be held February 11, 2023, at the Wareham Elks Lodge in Wareham MA from 1-5.  Please come as you are.  Mom did not wish to have a ‘service’ when she passed…she wanted a party.  This will be a party in her honor.

West Coast services will be held April 15, 2023, at the Ski Hill Lodge in Leavenworth WA.  Please check Facebook for updates on the time of her memorial.  Again, come as you are.  Mom was NEVER fancy or desired an event full of tears.  Mom always chose LOVE.

In Mom’s honor, please raise a glass of your liking, and think happy memories of her.

We hope to share memories of Mom together at one of the memorials.
