Ramuta H. (Plonys) Bacon “Mutė”
November 15, 1946 — November 6, 2025
Ramuta H. Bacon, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Fulda, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella Plonys. Ramuta made her home in Cotuit, Massachusetts, where she and her husband, John, built a life filled with family, friendship, and love.
Known affectionately as “Mutė” by her grandchildren, Ramuta will be remembered for her radiant spirit, creative touch, and deep devotion to those she loved. For many years she worked as a floral designer, bringing beauty and joy to everything she touched. Her grace, warmth, and laughter brightened every gathering and every day.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Bacon; her children Audra Neal (Daniel), Alisa Bernstein (Glen), and Paul Bacon (Karen); her beloved grandchildren Danny (Anna) and Nathan, Lauren and Matthew, and Luke and Alex; and her great-grandson Thomas. She is also survived by her sister Gene Geis (Dave) and sister-in-law Janice Plonys.
Ramuta was predeceased by her beloved brother, Vincent Plonys, whose memory she cherished throughout her life.
The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and kind words shared by so many during this difficult time.
A celebration of Ramuta’s life will be planned and announced at a later date.
