Wareham-Mitchell Gonski, Sr.,79, of Wareham, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Mitchell was the loving husband of the late Janice (Dalrymple) Gonski. He was born in Boston the son of the late Joseph S. and Helen (Soivenski) Gonski.
He attended Dedham Public Schools. He worked for the Polaroid Corp., John Cameron Plumbing and retired as a Head Custodian for the Wareham Public Schools Dept. He enjoyed his “Boston Whaler” and the many fishing trips with family and friends. He was an avid New England Patriots and Red Sox fan. Model trains , gardening, “Warm Radio Club” and trips to a casino, filled his days with fun and excitement.
Mitchell was survived by his children: Stephanie Laing of FL, Mitchell Gonski, Jr. of Wareham, and Joseph Gonski of Wareham and Patricia Ann King of FL. He was also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother Chester Gonski of Dedham and many loving nieces, nephews , relatives and friends. He was the brother of the late Joseph T. Gonski.
