Michael E. Ryan, Sr.

West Wareham-Michael E. Ryan, Sr. 77, of West Wareham, passed away on Thursday Sept. 22, 2022 at Tobey Hospital after a long illness.  He was the husband of Brenda (Corbett) Ryan.  Born in Brockton the son of the late William and Clara (Prosper) Ryan.

Michael worked for many years for Boston Gear Works and for several years with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brockton.   He was a loving and giving man and enjoyed taking day trips to Newport, RI. 

He is survived by his children; Michael E. Ryan , Jr. of Florida, Lisa Ryan of Brockton, Mark Ryan of Bridgewater and Roxanne Ross of Bridgewater.  Grandchildren  Ian Ryan, Joshua Ryan and  Ryan Villereal.  Great grandson Zander .  Siblings Charlene Derrickson of W. Bridgewater and Freddy Ryan of Bridgewater.  He also is survived by his loyal companion “Sadie” and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Father of the late Kimberly Ryan, grandfather of the late JJ Norkawski and brother of the late Maxine Ryan, Jo-Ann Finch and William J. Ryan, Jr.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Wednesday , October 26, 2022 from 4pm - 6pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham, MA 02571.  

 A prayer service will begin at 5:30pm.
