Michael M. Hyland, Sr.

Wareham: Michael M. Hyland Sr, 59 died unexpectedly, Thursday, April 15, 2021. He was born October 8, 1961 in Taunton, MA the son of the late Bernard and Ann (Brady) Hyland.

Mike graduated from Massasoit Community College. He continued his education with his love of boats. He was certified in boat motor and boat repair. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his 1st wife Leanne Machado Hyland, and longtime soulmate Elaine Nickandros

A longtime member of Lakeville Eagles Post #3994. Michael was happiest on stage entertaining the world with his piano and harmonica playing for all to enjoy. He once wrote music doesn’t pay much but what a 40 yr. ride it was.

He was in many bands over the years and passed on many opportunities to have gone professional in order to stay near to his boys also his pride and joy . Another passion was boat building. He worked at Multi Hull for many years. He loved to be out in the sunshine or sailing in the ocean.

Surviving in addition to his wife Elaine Boettcher Hyland are his sons Michael Jr. his fiancé Molly McNamara and  Jacob G. Hyland all of  Wareham and Marcus Casey and his partner Becca Abi-Saad of Whitman, MA.  He was the brother of Patrick Bernard Hyland  of Florida and Judy Hyland of Wareham. He was the uncle of Patrick Hyland and Cara LaSalle.  A celebration of life will be held at later time.
