Mary Pajunen Obituary

West Wareham-Mary J. (Tripp) Pajunen, 82, of West Wareham, Passed away Tuesday December 24, at the Sippican Health Care Center in Marion. Mary was the wife of Robert F. Pajunen of West Wareham.

She was born in Marion the daughter of the late Elias J. and Ethel P. (West) Tripp Jr.. Mary is a 1949 graduated of Wareham High School. She worked for many years at McLellan's 5 & 10 and retired as the Manager. She then spent several years working in the office of Wareham Auto Parts.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her children; Barbara F. Gustafson of Dennis Port, Sheila R. Perry and her husband Rev. Tom Perry of West Wareham, Johanna P. White of Wareham and David R. Pajunen of West Wareham. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; David (Buddy) Pajunen, Jimmy & Jillian Gustafson, and Thomas and Andrew White.

Jeanette enjoyed music and regularly attended the Sunday night hymn sings. She played accordion for more than 50 years with the Woodchoppers of Rochester. Jeanette was loved by her family, her many friends but her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Even in her last days, when they entered her room they brought a smile to her face. She felt that she had lived a full life, and her family is grateful that the end was peaceful.

Ceremonies: Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private. Anyone who knew Jeanette is invited to share in a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grace Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 3065 Cranberry Highway, East Wareham (across from Benny's in the old Ocean Spray building).
