Mary J. (Craven) McKiernan

Wareham-Mary (Craven) McKiernan, 68, passed away at the Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, Wareham on Friday, June 6, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

Mary was raised in Hanson, the daughter of the late Martin and Dorothea (Edwards) Craven and lived in Wareham most of her life.  Mary graduated from St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing in Fall River, Mass.  She was a private pediatric Registered Nurse for many years before her retirement.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, collecting dragons, Star Trek, and her daily walks.  

She is survived by her son Brennan McKiernan and his wife Janelle of Wareham. She was the sister of Martin Craven and his wife Michele of Tewksbury, grandmother of Jacob of Wareham and the mother-in-law of Jonathan Keene of Wareham.  She was the sister-in-law of James McKiernan and his wife Linda of Wareham.  She was also survived by her nieces and nephews: Michael Craven, Robert Craven, Martin Craven, John Craven, Jennifer McKiernan, Jamie McKiernan, and Timothy McKiernan.  She is predeceased by her son Joshua McKiernan of Wareham and her former husband Thomas McKiernan.
