Marjorie J. (Reid) Connolly

Wareham-Marjorie J. Reid-Connolly of Wareham, wife of the late Robert Connolly, passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022 at the age of 88.  She was lovingly known as Margie and was born in West Bridgewater, the fifth of seven children born to Roland F. and Lillian M. Reid.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her cherished children Gerald Crockett of Randolph; Theresa Delaney of Sarasota, Fl; Christine  Fournier and her husband Michael of Onset; Patricia L. Hanley and her husband Daniel of Dresden, ME; Grandchildren Nicole Wilkinson, Brian Delaney, Nathaniel, Courtany, and Nicholas Hanley. Great grandchildren, Scarlett and Anabel Wilkinson, Bailey Delaney and Isla Hanley. She is also survived by her dear sister, Joan Mullen of Falmouth and her brother John Reid and his wife Dorothy of Brockton, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son David Crockett, a grandson Joseph Crockett,  siblings; James Reid, Barbara Reid, Lillian Lariviere and Anne Willis.

During her residency in Wareham, Margie was employed at the Tobey Hospital in food service where she worked for 28+ years and was honored with the South Coast Hospitals President's award of excellence.  A communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Margie had great enthusiasm for life, many friends and was loved for her warmth, her wonderful huge sense of humor and her ability to take anything in stride. She will be deeply missed.

Committal Service, Thursday, May 26th ,at 1:15pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA 02532.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Please go directly to the cemetery and arrive by 1 pm.  To leave a message of condolence please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com  Private reception for immediate family following.
