Marilyn (Beaton) Lange

Marilyn Ruth Lange, 82, of Buzzards Bay passed away peacefully July 13, 2021 at home with family and caregivers by her side. She had lived with dignity coping with the challenges of Parkinson’s for many years. She was the daughter of Gilbert and Ruth (Carver) Beaton. She graduated from Wareham High, class of 1957, Lasell Jr. College and Lesley College studying Early Childhood Education. She was a devoted teacher for over 30 years in Wareham and cherished all the children.

She is survived by her loving husband Dieter of 57 years, grandson Rhys deMelo who was the light of her life, sister Donna (Robert) Jones, sister-in-law Ursula Suddard and brother-in-law Ingolf Lange. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Marissa. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

She enjoyed travelling to Florida with her family, reading, gardening and swimming in Buttermilk Bay. She was an active member of the The First Congregational Church of Wareham. Most of all she loved being with family and friends.

The family extends great appreciation and gratitude to Christine, Robin and Ed for their outstanding care, tenderness and love. In addition, heartfelt thanks to all the personnel and team members of Compassionate Care Hospice of SEMA.  A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
