MARIE A. MAZZARELLI
Marie A. Mazzarelli, 87, of Buzzards Bay, Mass, passed peacefully from this world on June 8th , 26, in the company of her loving family, as well as the gentle care of staff at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion, Mass.
Marie was born on June 22, 1938, at Milford Hospital. Marie was pre-deceased by her parents, Theresa (Eptari) Mazzarelli and Joseph Mazzarelli of Milford, Mass.
She lived in the Milford area for most of her life, with some years spent in Cape Coral, Florida before returning to live in the Buzzards Bay area in her later years. For many years she worked at, and then became the owner of Guild Wine & Liquor in Norwood, Mass. On her return to Buzzards Bay from Florida, Marie worked a number of years for Partylite Corporation in Plymouth, Mass.
Marie was an avid crafter for most of her life enjoying knitting, embroidery, cake decorating, ceramics, basket weaving, and whatever else sparked her interest at the time. Her work was impeccable and a true gift to many with whom she so generously shared.
Marie enjoyed traveling, which includes driving across country with her sister Carol back in the 1960’s. Also among her many talents was her love for cooking. Marie was known for her homemade Italian pastas, breads, and especially her Christmas cookies! She also loved to can fresh vegetables from the garden, always providing for others.
She leaves her sister and best friend Carol Mazzarelli of Buzzards Bay, Mass., a brother Joseph Mazzarelli of Grafton, Mass. and his family. A private Funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish with close family and friends and burial was in the Parish Cemetery.
