Margaret "Peggy" Gallagher

West Wareham – Margaret “Peggy” Gallagher, 63, passed away at home after a long illness on Saturday February, 22, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Irene H. (Mellor) Gallagher Sr.  Peggy was born in Weymouth and attended and graduated from the Fairhaven public school system. She most recently was the manager of Community Mini Storage in West Wareham. She enjoyed crafting, reading and cooking.

She is survived by her son Robert Gallagher of West Wareham, her siblings; Walter J. Gallagher Jr. of North Dartmouth, Grace Heinz of TN, Patricia Head of Arizona, William “Bill” Gallagher of Nevada and her daughter In-Law Danielle Gallagher-Robinson.  She was the grandmother of Devyne Gallagher, Shaelyn Gallagher, Bruce J. Gallagher Jr., Mariah Gallagher and great grandmother of Nevaeh Grace Margaret Gallagher-McCarthy.  She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was the mother of the late Bruce J. Gallagher Sr.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 2-5pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St. Wareham.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 from the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham, MA at 9:15 am followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 am in Saint Patrick’s Church 82 High Street Wareham.  Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Brown Street Newburyport, MA.  To leave a message of condolence for the family please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com
