Linda A. (Finn) Davenport

Carver-Linda A. Davenport, 71, of Carver passed away at Saint Lukes Hospital in New Bedford on June 11, 2025.  She was born in Boston the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Lang) Finn.

A 1971 Braintree High School graduate Linda enjoyed working at Jordan Marsh, as a CNA and as a Pre School Teacher at the Center Pre School in Pembroke.  She was an avid reader, A Golden Girls follower and magazine gossip hound.  Dubbed the “Crazy cat Lady”  she was fond of many cats especially “Tid Bit”.  An avid bird watcher she loved her family and her grandchildren were her world.

She is survived by her daughters  Melinda Brown of Pembroke and  Stephanie Davenport of Carver.  Her grandchildren Mackenzie and Tommy.  A sister Susan Durant and her husband Gary of Carver.

Sister of the late Karen Finn, mother in-law of the late Michael Brown, and Richard Besette.
