Joseph E. Leggett III

Wareham-Leggett, Joseph E.  III., 61, of Onset passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Wareham Healthcare.  Joseph was the son of the late James E. Leggett and Loretta Mae Johnson.

Joe, as he liked to be called, graduated from Upper Cape Vocational High School as a machinist but turned his talents, focusing on small home improvements in the Wareham and Onset area. He was an avid photographer of the local land & seascapes, boats, sunsets, wildlife and current events.  Joe supported many fund raisers by volunteering his skills to repair area playgrounds and to keep our beaches clean. He had served on the Open Space Committee, Conservation Committee and the Community Preservation Committee of Wareham.

Joe is survived by his sons Joshua Leggett of Onset and Ryan Leggett of Georgia. He was the brother of Virginia A. Tavares and her husband Arthur of Wareham and many loving relatives and friends.
