John J. "Jack" Mullen

Wareham-John J. “Jack” Mullen, 88, husband of 64 years to Patricia J. (Rago) Mullen of Wareham passed away on Sunday August 20, at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay.   Jack was born in Cambridge, MA the son of the late Daniel J. and Lillian M. (McMahon) Mullen.

He graduated from Rindge Tech High School in Cambridge and  Newbury Junior College with an Associate’s degree in Business.  A U.S. Navy, Korean War veteran.  Jack served aboard the USS Brattleboro. Jack was retired from the USPS with over 38 years of service.  Jack was also a Communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church, a Knight of Columbus.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed classical music and spending time with his dog, Dahlia.

He is also survived by his loving daughters Robin Strafford, Nichola Mullen, both of Wareham, his granddaughter Alexandria Stafford of New Bedford.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Grandfather of the late Johnathan Stafford and brother of the late Ronald and Daniel Mullen.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday August 23, from 3-6pm only in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham, MA.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. 

Funeral Mass Thursday August 24, at 10 o’clock in Saint Patrick’s Church, 94 High Street, Wareham, MA Interment will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery Tihonet Road Wareham.
