John J. "Jack" Connors

August 31, 1933 ~ October 20, 2019 (age 86) 86 Years Old

John Connors Obituary

Wareham-John J. Connors (Jack), 86 of Wareham, passed away with his family at his side on Sunday October 20, 2019 at the Alliance Health Care facility in Braintree after a brief illness.  Jack was the husband of the late Marilyn (Oberbeck) Connors and the son of the late Cornelius and Sarah (Feeney) Connors.

Jack was a graduate of Malden High School and furthered his education graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and received his Master’s of Science in Taxation in accounting from Bentley University in Waltham in 1978.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1955-1957.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and making connections with people.  Jack had a lifelong interest in trading and investing in the stock market.   After retirement, he became an avid poker player, spending many happy hours playing cards and conversing with friends at Foxwoods Casino.    He enjoyed reading and following sports – particularly the Red Sox. 

Jack is survived by his children:  Marilyn Donahue and her husband Gregory, formerly of Wareham, MA, Michael Connors and his wife Sandy of Newton, MA, David Connors and his wife Rebecca of Newton, MA.  He was the loving grandfather of Ben, Sam, Bali, Jake, Mia, Reese, Quinn and great grandfather of Jaylen. He was the brother of Marie Logan of Maine and Kathleen Walsh of Wareham and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
