Buzzards Bay- James M. MacDougall, beloved husband and adored father passed away peacefully on Saturday December 20, 2025 at the age 74.
James, better known as Jimmy, was born in Boston the son of the late John D. and Marie R. (Mulkern) MacDougall. Jimmy was known for his incredible sense of humor, kindness. love of animals and his unwavering dedication to his daughter and family. Throughout his life he was known for his humor and his curiosity and because of his curiosity he loved asking people questions and getting to know them, he made people feel special. He made friends everywhere he went or worked and always left a lasting impression with those fortunate enough to meet him.
Above all else, Jimmy was a deeply devoted father to his daughter, Emma. She was the center of his world and he loved her more than anything. He took immense pride in her life and found his greatest joy in being her dad. He supported her, encouraged her and loved every moment he could share with her. The love was mutual and they could often be seen holding hands while driving or walking. His love for her was constant, unconditional, and unmistakable to all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Adrienne M. Danner and daughter Emma M. MacDougall, Jimmy is survived by his Brother Jack MacDougall of Buzzards Bay, Martha Wright of Littleton, Michael MacDougall of FL, Janice DePaulo of Winchester. He is also survived by many loving nieces nephews relatives and friends.
