Wareham - Helen Christine Dixon, 86, of Wareham, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2024, at RI Hospital. Mrs. Dixon was the wife of the late Benjamin Franklin Dixon. She was born in Samson, Alabama, the daughter of the late Robert and Modell (Pruden) Clark.
She adored her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed church, cake, word puzzles, and a good shopping trip. She is survived by her children: Kenneth Dixon of East Orange, NJ, Christine Dixon of Wareham, Karen and her husband Bruce Dykes of North Plainfield, NJ, and J’Noai Dixon, Sr. and his wife Tammori Petty-Dixon of Piscataway, NJ. She was the grandmother of Shanice Dixon and J’Noai Dixon Jr. She was the mother of the late Rodney Dixon and Donald Dixon, and sister of the late Barbara Averette and George Clark.
She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Committal services will be held on Thursday September 19, 2024 at 1:30pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA 02532. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Please arrive at the cemetery by 1:15pm. Please gather at the cemetery funeral cortege assembly area.
