George H. ("Johnny") Russell, Jr.

Wareham-George H. Russell, Jr. , “ Johnny”  72,  of East Wareham, husband of Shirley  (Chandler) Russell also of E. Wareham, passed away on Saturday May 7, 2022 at Home with his family at his side.  George was born in Wareham the son of the late George H. and Phyllis M. (Westgate) Russell Sr.  He attended Wareham Public Schools and worked for many years at Tremont Nail Factory and Litecontrol Corp.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed all cars.

George is survived by his children:  Janice Hodgkinson and her husband Russell of Buzzards Bay, Phyllis M. Russell, Donna Russell and George H. “Boo” Russell III., all of Wareham. He was the brother of Eunice Sylvester, Sarah and her husband Frank Santos, Jr., Ronald A. Russell and his wife Betty, Jack Russell and his wife Mary all of Wareham. His grandchildren; Jodylynn Hodgkinson, Robert Hodgkinson, George  Tarabaih, Christopher Ferland, Aaron Russell, Christina Russell, Kayla Russell and his great granddaughter Aleyah Russell-Wood.  He was also survived by Crystal Marks of E. Wareham and many loving nieces nephews relatives and friends and Merlin his Parrot. He was the grandfather of the late Deanna Russell, and brother of the late Alice Chandler, Steven Russell and Charlie Russell.  A private family service will be held at this time.
