Buzzards Bay-Duncan V. Rynne, 91, husband of Ruth (Serroni) Rynne also of Buzzards Bay passed away on Friday September 26, 2025 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home. He was born in Somerville the son of the late John and Ann (Bowers) Rynne.
Duncan graduated from Lowell High School and participated in many sports and excelled in the football program. A U.S.A.F veteran serving from 1954 – 1958. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed playing racket-ball and softball. He enjoyed a good laugh and he also had a formal side. A crafter who enjoyed to spend hours in the cellar and on U tube doing his best to add to his creations. A Pool salesman and installer, Duncan worked for Pool and Patio in Coventry, RI and was well know for as “Stump the Dunc” he always won no one could stump him. He also worked for “Bucky Warrens Sports” located on State Street in Boston and owned and operated Duncan Rynne Sporting Goods in Pawtucket, RI.
In addition to his wife Ruth, he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and especially Aaron Rippel of NC.
Committal service Wednesday October 1, 2025 at 10:45 am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited. Please arrive at the cemetery at 10:30.
