New Bedford-Dorothy B. Alfonso, 89, of New Bedford formerly of Carver, passed away peacefully at the Kimwell Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was the wife of the late Antone C. “Curly” Alfonso. Born in New Bedford the daughter of the late William B. and Mary (Correia) Oliveira. She worked for many years as a teacher for the New Bedford Public School system.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry A. Dillon, a son Antone Alfonso, her grandchildren; great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends especially Michael and Natecia Alfonso of Wareham and her fur baby “Milo”.
