West Wareham-Donald “Lauchie” MacEachern, 85, husband of Bella (Morrison) MacEachern also of W. Wareham, passed away on Thursday April 24, 2025 at the Nemasket Healthcare
Center.
Mr. MacEachern was born in River Denys, Nova Scotia, Canada the son of the late Angus and Alice (LeLechur) MacEachern. He was a skilled tradesman in the Local 391 Painters Union and Allied Trades who worked as an outdoor advertising installer for Clear Channel, formerly Ackerley Advertising, formerly Donnelly Signs. He was a well-sought out expert tree climbing Arborist. He was a self-taught highly skilled musician who played his guitar professionally and for personal enjoyment entertaining his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, country music and loved long conversations with family and friends.
In addition to his wife Bella, he is survived by their children; Kevin MacEachern and (Ruth) of Scituate, Margaret Krupnick and (Bryan) of Medway, D. Scott “Red” MacEachern and (Lori) of Denver, CO and Alice Albano of Hopkinton. Grandfather of Amanda, Kristi, Kevin, Randy, Lauren, James, Chris, Olivia, Andrew, Angie and a great granddaughter Aria. Brother of Charles MacEachern of Roslindale and Sally Kelly of Newtonville and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Father of the late Patricia Pettiglio.
His funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 9, 2025 at 10 o’clock in Saint Patrick’s Church 94 High Street Wareham, MA. Burial will follow in Mt. Benedict Cemetery 409 Corey Street West Roxbury, Massachusetts 02132 Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours have been omitted.
