Wareham-Deborah M. Harper, 72, passed away on May 1, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a battle with Cancer. She was the loving wife of William G. Dixon, DC., of Wareham. She was born in Southington, CT the daughter of the late Wesley W. and Jane (Guilford) Harper.
A 1972 graduate of Cheshire High School and a 1974 graduate of Chamberlyn Jr. College / The School of Fashion Design. She attended the Fashion Design Institute of NY and was a successful milliner since 1984. Hats were her passion. She also worked for many years doing wine tasting.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing, hiking, pilates and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her step-children Alec J. Dixon (Emmy Ly) of Hyannis and Eva Dixon (Tyler Hutchinson) of CA. Her sisters Betsy F Harper (Jeff Sparks) of Vt. Sandra W. Harper of CT and Jo-Ann H. Finn of Wareham sister In-law of the Late (Matthew C. Finn, MD.) She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews , relatives and friends.
Funeral Service Saturday May 23, 2026 at 11 am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 74 High Street Wareham, MA 02571 A luncheon will follow.
In honor of Deborah and in memory of her passion for hats that all women please wear a hat.
