Charles L. Cruz

Wareham-Charles L. Cruz, 69, of New Bedford, formerly of Wareham and California passed away on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at Tobey Hospital. Mr. Cruz was the husband of the late Maureen R. (Correia) Cruz. He was born in Wareham the son of the late Maurice C. and Clementine M. (Sequeira) Cruz Sr.

He attended Wareham public schools and was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Cruz worked for many years as a para-professional in the Boston public schools and as the central supply supervisor at Tobey Hospital. He enjoyed playing golf and being an AA Sponsor.

Mr. Cruz is survived by his children; Trevas Cruz of Germany, Kristin Blair - Cruz of CA and Tanja Kless of Germany. He was the brother of Diane Thompson of SC, Shirley Cruz of Wareham, Kevin Cruz of Wareham and Jay Cruz of FL. He was the grandfather of Christian Cruz, Carlotta Rosa Cruz and Michelle Orozco and great grandfather of Sophia and Ronin Orozco. He was the brother of the late Maurice Cruz Jr. He was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Ceremonies: Committal services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 9:45 am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Please arrive at the National Cemetery at 9:15am. Visiting hours have been omitted.
