Camyl Ghislain Sylvain, 78, passed away peacefully on the 5th of March in Wareham, MA, surrounded by family.
Camyl was born on July 7th, 1947, in Saint-Zacharie, Beauce, QC, Canada, to Adélard and Rose-Alma Sylvain, one of the middle children of fifteen. He was an accomplished cabinetmaker, known for his innovation and artistry as a master of his craft. His love of his work was only paralleled by his fierce pride in being a Cape Cod resident since 1967.
Camyl will be remembered for his legendary mix of tenacity and charm, his distinctive interpretation of the English language, and his customary after-work patronage at his favorite local. He enjoyed camping, clamming, and fishing in his younger years, and was always excited for a nice, big dinner. Camyl was a great storyteller and a romantic at heart.
Camyl is survived by his two daughters, Samantha Rose and Melissa Michelle; his grandson, Isaac Ulysses Connolly; former wife and mother of his children, Barbara Loughran; and his siblings, Jeannine, Denis (d.), Régis (d.), Clément, Marcel (d.), Thérèse, Chantel, Liette, Alain (d.), Daniel, Jean-Marie, Mario, Ghislain, and Céline.
He will be forever in our hearts and lovingly remembered by family and friends.
