Byron Frates

East Wareham-Byron Frates, 38, of East Wareham passed away on Sunday August 21, 2022 at Tobey Hospital.  He was the son of Cheryl (Rogers) Knapp and Glenn of Wareham and the late Barry Frates.  He was the fiancée of Jamie Carbone of East Wareham and also loved his loyal K9 Faith. 

He was born in New Bedford and attended Wareham Public Schools.  He worked for “Heads Up Irrigation” as a laborer and technician.  He enjoyed fishing, heavy metal bands and dirt bikes.

He was the father of  Patricia and Nicholas Spillane-Frates both of Rochester.  Brother of Jeffrey Lavine and his wife Julie of Albany, VT and Annie Andersen and her husband Howard of Wareham.  Uncle of Kyle, Michael, Andrew, Leo, Joshua and Jamison.  Grandson of Barbara Lavine of Wareham and the late Ralph Lavine and the late Charles and Frances Frates of New Bedford.  He was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 2-4 pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham, MA.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Interment will be private.  To leave a message of condolence for the family please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com
