WAREHAM- Anthony (Tony) E. Coletti, 90, of Wareham passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday Sept. 18, 2024. Tony was the husband of 53 years to Barbara G. (Lawn) Coletti of Brockton. He was born in Quincy, MA in 1934, the only son of the late Antonio and Catherine (Lancisi) Coletti.
Tony grew up in Quincy and attended Boston College High School and then Boston College where he received his bachelor’s degree in engineering. He then on to Boston University where he attained an MBA.
Shortly after graduation, Tony worked in the research and development department at Nortronics in Norwood, MA (a division Northrup) before shifting into his lifelong career of regional management for the Brockton Housing Authority.
Tony had many interests and a rather annoying habit of being an expert at anything he tried. He was an avid skier belonging to the Wedeln Ski Club in North Conway, NH for many years. It was through this, he met his wife, Barb, also a skier. Their love of skiing took them to Aspen and Vail, CO as well as most of the New England slopes. During the summer months, Tony was found on the lake at his family cottage in Plymouth, MA. He was a sailor, boater and excellent water skier. Always the life of the party. Once retired, Barb and Tony took a 2-week trip to Italy. They then purchased a camper and travelled around New England from Maine to Provincetown, MA – a place that they both loved. In his free time, Tony loved to tinker with anything that had moving parts. His unending interests evolved to him being known as a “collector”. The amass of “collected valuables” landed him a spot on the TV show American Pickers back in 2021, on the episode titled “Bombshells and Silk”. In his final few years, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his three beautiful granddaughters.
He is survived by his daughter Christine Andrew and her husband Christopher of CT. His grandchildren: Isabella Dubois, Aubryn Dubois and Finley Andrew.
