Alan D Smith, "Rookie"

Wareham-Alan D. “Rookie” Smith, 68, of East Wareham passed away at home on May 13, 2026.  He was the father of Kati Callinan and her significant other Peter Stevens of Wareham.  He was born in Wareham the son of the late Donald C. and Lydia F. (Hinckley) Smith.

Alan attended Wareham Public Schools and graduated from Upper Cape in 1975.  He was self employed owning and operating A.D. Smith Trucking for many years.  He was  also a former call firefighter for the Wareham Fire District. A car enthusiast and a beloved fan of ‘NASCAR”.

He was also survived by his grandchildren: Giuliana and Colin Callinan and Rose Stevens.  Brother of Rebecca Tetrault of Wareham and Oklahoma and Donna Voss of West Wareham.  He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and his former wife Cindy L. Gibbs.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Wednesday May 27, 2026 from 5-7pm in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham, MA relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
