Alan Newton Obituary
Providence, RI-Alan R. Newton, 92, of East Wareham, husband of the late Sun Hui (Nam) Newton, passed away on Friday March 3, 2023 at the VA Medical Center, Providence. He was born in Fall River the son of the late Samuel H. and Mary E. (Chaloner) Newton.
An inventor and entrepreneur of mechanical design, Mr. Newton placed first at the 1986 International Inventors Expo in New York, and again in 1987 at the World Genius Convention in Tokyo Japan. A Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army. Alan was also listed in the Who’s Who of Inventors and graduated from the U.S. Naval Pre-Flight School at Pensacola, FL. at the age of 20.
He is survived by his daughter Aicia Newton of CA and East Wareham. He was also survived by many loving friends. He was the father of the late Joseph Newton.
