Scott M. Rose

Wareham-Scott M. Rose, 58, of Wareham passed away on Friday, September 6, at Tobey Hospital.  Scott was born in Wareham the son of the late Manuel R. Rose, Jr. and Carolee J. (Lima) Pina.

He attended Wareham public schools and graduated in 1979.  He furthered his education at UMASS Amherst. He was and exceptional football player and athlete at both Wareham High School and UMass Amherst.  Scott was a true champion of the game and an easy going teammate and friend.  He also enjoyed landscaping and gardening.

Scott is survived by his sister:  Doris Anne Reis of East Wareham and his brother Joshua Pina of Florida.  He was the nephew of Dorothea White of CT and uncle of Christopher Reis, Jr., Jeffrey Rose Jr. and Brandon Rose.  He was the close friend of Stefanie Dors and he was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.  He was the brother of the late Jeffrey Rose Sr.  Scott’s family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to all of the ICU and 2nd floor nursing staff at Tobey Hospital. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 am in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery 1 Tihonet Road Wareham, MA 02571.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Memorial gifts in Scotts name may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
