Rudolph Gentile Obituary

Wareham-Rudolph J. “Rudy” Gentile, 89, of Wareham passed away on Monday August 26, 2019 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bourne.  Mr. Gentile was born in Woburn MA and was a music teacher for many years in the Billerica and Somerville School Districts.  He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and played in the Army Band from 1951 - 1953.  He was an accomplished musician playing the trumpet, trombone and the piano for many Boston area bands and he also played with the legendary Tom Jones on occasion.  He adored his grandsons Ryan and Matt and loved a good meal, a great cigar and a long walk.

Rudy was survived by his loving and caring wife Margaret (Pimental) Gentile of Wareham.  His grandsons: Ryan & Matt Crowther and his sister Charlotte Gourlis of South Carolina.  He was the brother of the late Frank Gentile, Charles Gourlis, Mary Gentile, Josephine Gentile and Angie Gentile. The family is also grateful for the care and comfort of all the staff at the Royal Cape Cod especially unit two.
