Rochester, NH - Paula Sheehy Filosa, 78, formerly of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on Sunday, April 22. Paula was the loving wife of 31 years to Frank G. Filosa. The couple has resided in Hales Location, NH, since 2007. She was born in North Attleboro, MA the daughter of the late William and Mary (Cunningham) Shea.
She attended Saint Mary's Elementary School and was a 1957 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Paula worked for Herff Jones Inc. and Dieges & Clust, of Providence, RI. She later worked for DeWolfe Realty where she specialized in executive relocation and then became a top producer of sales for Remax Real Estate in Foxboro, MA. After retirement to New Hampshire she continued to work with her Synergy family at Synergy Sportswear, North Conway, NH.
Paula loved: spending time with her family, living in the mountain region of NH, country rides, visiting the ocean, traveling, reading, dining out-especially lunches at the Stage Neck Inn in York Harbor, ME, shopping, golf, sailing and the New England Patriots.
In addition to her husband, Frank, Paula is survived by her children, Timothy E. Sheehy and his wife Carol of Wrentham, MA, Erin M. Sheehy Hunt and her husband Richard of Wrentham, MA, John D. Sheehy and his husband Matthew M. Jones of South Boston. She was the loving grandmother of Daniel E. Hunt, Maxwell L. Hunt and Colin J. Sheehy and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, her very close friends Patty Conway, Michael and Jana McHenry and her community of neighbors at Hales Location. Paula was also the grandmother of the late Samuel R. Hunt, sister of the late Patricia Shea and Derith Charlebois, and wife of the late Edward Driscoll Sheehy who passed in 1978.
Ceremonies: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 29, from 4-8pm in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday, April 30 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro at 10 am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to The Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org Interment will be private. A celebration of her life will be held in North Conway at a date to be announced.
