Marissa Lyons Obituary

Wareham - Marissa R. Lyons, 44, of Wareham, passed away at Tobey Hospital on Saturday, July 28. Marissa was the wife of John D. Lyons also of Wareham. She was the daughter of Dieter and Marilyn (Beaton) Lange of Wareham.

Marissa attended Friends Academy in Dartmouth, Wareham Public Schools and the University of Massachusetts. She was the former Bank Manager of Rockland Trust at the Pocasset branch. She enjoyed fitness, hiking and kayaking. She adored her pets and she and her husband trained dogs.

She was also survived by her son: Rhys U. DeMelo of Bourne. She was the daughter In-law of John P. and Janice (Mambuca) Lyons of East Boston, sister In-Law of Janine Levesque of NH and the Aunt of Janelle, Jennifer and Alyssa. She was the granddaughter In-law of Rose Mambuca, and the late Dominic Mambuca and the granddaughter of the late Gilbert and Ruth (Pierce) Beaton and Carl and Maria (Lenk) Lange.
