John Murray, Esq. Obituary

Fairhaven-John P. Murray Esq., 47, of Fairhaven passed away Saturday January 14, 2017 at Saint Luke’s Hospital.  John was the husband of Marianne Jobson also of Fairhaven and he was born in Montreal, Canada the son of Dr. Patrick J. and his wife Brenda Murray of Marston Mills.                                                                                            

John graduated from McGill University Faculty of Law, Montreal, Quebec, Canada; with two degrees in law.  He also holds a MBA from Suffolk University, Boston, MA.  John and his wife moved to the South Coast region 15 years ago and as a family have been very committed to participating in the community.  John served on the Saint Mary’s Church Pastoral and Financial Councils, was the former Vice President of the South Coast Panthers Youth Hockey Association and was the current Ethics Director.

John is also survived by his children; Owen, Gabriel and Sophia Murray all of Fairhaven.  He was the brother of Gwendolyn Murray of Nevada, Margaret Murray Stewart of Medford and Michael Murray of Toronto, Canada.  He was the uncle of Divya & Fionn Murray and the Son in law of Ed Jobson of Sidney British Columbia, Canada and the late Rosemary Jobson.  John was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

John’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday January 20, at 10 O’clock in Saint Mary’s Church 446 Main Street Fairhaven, MA.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Interment will be private.  To leave a message of condolence for the family please visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com   Arrangements by Wareham Village Funeral Home
