*The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must purchase any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

This general price list does not provide for items or services that you may request us to arrange or purchase for you. The costs or estimated costs will be in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services selected.

Basic services of funeral director and staff

Our services include: conducting the arrangement conference, planning the funeral; consulting with family and clergy; shelter of remains; preparing and filing of necessary notices; obtaining necessary authorizations and permits; coordinating with cemetery, crematory, or other third parties. In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs.

*This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving remains $1,950.00

Embalming
*Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial $850.00

Other preparation of the remains

  • Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 15 mile radius) $410.
  • Transfer of remains from Boston area, Logan Airport or TFGreen Airport $575.
  • Hearse (within 15 mile radius) $425.
  • Limousine (within a 15 miles radius) $425.
  • Service Utility Vehicle $ 275.
  • ($3.25 per mile beyond 15 miles for all Automotive Equipment)

Miscellaneous merchandise

*In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so the grave will not sink in. Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements.

Caskets/alternative containers from  $160. to $2,200.

Our funeral home makes no representations or warranties regarding the caskets, urns, outer burial containers, cremation containers, alternative containers or miscellaneous merchandise. The only warranties, expressed or implied, granted in connection with the caskets, urns, outer burial containers, cremation containers, alternative containers or miscellaneous merchandise are the express written warranties, if any, extended by the manufacturers. Our funeral home hereby disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied relating to caskets, urns, outer burial containers, cremation containers, alternative containers or miscellaneous merchandise. Including but not limited to, the implied warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Immediate burial from $2,260.
Our charges for an immediate burial without any attended rites or ceremonies will include;
necessary services of staff and authorizations, (local) transportation of the remains from the place of death to the funeral home, shelter of the remains, other preparation of the remains, local (within 15 miles) transportation to cemetery. This charge does not include related costs such as or related to cemetery costs, casket, outer burial container which may be required by cemetery, cash advances.

Forwarding of remains to another funeral home $2,810.
Our charge includes necessary services of staff, (local) transportation of remains to the funeral home, temporary shelter of remains, embalming and (local) transportation to the airport. (This charge does not include casket, air tray, combo unit, cemetery costs cash advances, visitation or other rites and ceremonies prior to forwarding of remains.)

Receiving of remains from another funeral home $1,975.
Our charge includes; necessary services of staff, transportation of remains from common carrier to funeral home, temporary shelter of remains at the funeral home, (local) transportation to cemetery. (This charge does not include cemetery costs, casket, outer burial container, cash advances, visitation or other rites or ceremonies.)

Direct cremation  $1,600.00 +
Our charge for a direct cremation (without services or ceremony) includes; (local) removal of the remains from the place of death to the funeral home, shelter of the remains as needed, obtaining necessary authorizations, (local) transportation to crematory, cremation fee and medical examiners fee.

This charge does not include the cost of a cremation container, permits or certified copies of record, other preparation of remains and or the use of facilities and staff for viewing, visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to or following cremation.

If the Medical Examiner should claim your loved one for further investigation after the transportation to the funeral home or crematory. Additional transportation, other preparation of remains and facility costs may be applied. This may also delay or cause to delay any funeral arrangements established which also may result in additional unforeseen costs.

*If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container.  Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are basic alternative cremation containers. They meet the crematory requirement and the container is constructed of cardboard, manufactured wood and pine.

Direct cremation with a container or casket provided by purchaser. $1,600.00

With minimum cremation container purchased from funeral home. $1,760.00

Direct cremation plus the cost of casket selected from funeral home. $1,600.00+

Medical school donations
Our charge for medical school donation includes necessary services of staff, (local) transportation of remains to the funeral home, transportation to medical school, recording of vital statistics and securing proper permits $1,450.00
Medical School will reimburse funeral home for transportation to their facility.

Financial provisions
The Wareham Village Funeral Home has established a uniform payment policy to serve all our families fairly and to prevent any misunderstandings. The payment policy enables us to contain our costs for all the families we serve.

The Wareham Village Funeral Home, requires that all financial obligations be paid no later than the day of the meeting.

Financial settlement options

  • A valid photo I.D. is required for anyone making payment or authorizing funeral services.
  • A copy of such I.D. will be kept on file with the arrangements.

A return check fee of $50.00 will be added to every check that is returned for non payment.

Prepaid Funeral Trusts, cash, local checks subject to electronic funds verification, third party checks are not acceptable, local bank checks/money orders/, credit cards or debit cards, Visa/Master Card and American Express.

Credit Card payment of third party or cash advances will constitute a 4% fee on those charges. (Newspapers, cemetery costs, church, flowers etc.) we also reserve the right to limit the dollar amount processed. When possible you may be required to pay them directly.

Assignable life insurance policies (only for the face value of the policy, once and only if the assignable policy and the beneficiary have been verified by the insurance company and the beneficiary signs for responsibility (of the funeral expenses) an additional fee for processing an insurance claim may apply.

Only the beneficiary of legal age of the life insurance policy can assign over proceeds. If you’re insurance company refuses to discuss the terms and conditions of your policy with us, then we cannot accept it as a form of payment. If the policy is assignable then all the beneficiaries will sign our contract and assign the proceeds needed for payment along with presenting the original policy for our office to process the claim.

With the complexity and time involved we are unable to accept payments from estates as this is an unsecured payment method.

Banking institutions lend money at many different rates and terms. You may already have a relationship with a bank and we suggest contacting your bank if needed.

Payment for the services and merchandise you have selected as well as the payment for all outside contracted third parties is requested at the close of the arrangement conference. If you should default on such agreement, legal, court costs and a late charge of 1.5% per month of the account balance will be added to the account balance beginning on or from the date of burial or cremation. Any and all services requested via phone or by electronic request that are performed will be due in full if said request for services are then terminated. $50.00 dollar returned check fee and any and all collection fees.
