Shirley Brady Obituary

New Bedford-Shirley I. Brady, 88, of New Bedford, passed away at Saint Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness.  She was the wife of Dennis E. Brady.  Mrs. Brady was born in New Bedford the daughter of Adelard C. and Mary (Mosakowski) Richard. 

She attended New Bedford public schools and worked for many years as a stitcher for Knapp Shoe.  She also made and sold doll clothing that fit “American Girl Dolls” and enjoyed assembling doll houses. 

She is survived by  her children:  Gail and her husband Dennis Woodard of Rochester, Russell Brady and his wife Cathy of Cheshire.  She was the grandmother of Kelsey, Nikki, Nathan and 6 great grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late J. Donald Richard.

Funeral Mass Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10 o’clock Holy Name of Sacred Heart of Jesus 121 Mount Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA relatives  and friends are cordially invited to attend.  Visting hours have been omitted.  Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial gifts to Tunnel to Towers 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306 www.t2t.org
