Lloyd Morea Obituary

Carver-Lloyd F. Morea, 72, passed away at home with his family at his side on November 11, 2023. He was the husband of Sandra K. Kelly Morea also of Carver.

Born in Cambridge, the son of the late Manuel and Evelyn (Somerville) Morea. He attended Cambridge and Natick public schools and later attended Fisher Business College. He worked at and later managed the family moving company, A.D. McMullen, Inc. in North Dartmouth, for 20+ years, until closing in the year 2000. He became a cable contractor and appliance repairman. He used his spare time as the proprietor of a comic bookstore in North Dartmouth during the 1990s, Hole in the Wall Comics.

Lloyd took considerable pride in maintaining his homes. He was very talented in landscaping design, carpentry, and ceramic tiling. He landscaped his homes in Mattapoisett and Marion as well as completing the interior of his unfinished home in Marion. He most recently refurbished and remodeled his current residence in Carver. Lloyd enjoyed saltwater fishing, fly fishing, and traveling via cruises to the Caribbean. He also enjoyed playing cards and computer video games. Lloyds' most charitable work was supporting his wife's ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and congregation contributions.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Sandra Morea, his sons Michael Morea of Carver, Vladimir (Christine) Smirnov of Marion, and William (Rose-Mary) Smirnov of Wareham, sisters Deborah (Bill) Farrell of Fairhaven, Diana (Jouni) Rauti of Derry, NH, and grandson Vladimir Smirnov III, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his son David Morea, sister Lynne Ballentine, and brother Steven Morea.
